Local, Natural Products Made with 100% Love

LoveCraft Farms offers house-brewed, small batch kombucha, in a variety of flavors, along with locally roasted and ethically sourced coffee and espresso beverages.

We created LoveCraft Farms to be an extension of our family. From the things we love and the fun we have as a family of 5, to the foods and beverages we put into our bodies. We want every service we offer and product we make to represent the love and gratitude we have for God and the natural solutions provided by nature.

LoveCraft Farms was inspired to fulfill our need for real, natural products and to be able to bring those products to our community. Our hope as a family and a business is that we can make a positive impact on our community.

about us

Meet the Powers

We are the Powers Family: Russ, Shelley, Jackson, Mason and Michael and we’re excited to begin this journey!

Read our story

This is our first venture into the food and beverage industry! We had absolutely no clue what we were doing, but having had previous business experience we decided to figure it out.

Things shifted for us in 2021 when our middle son, Mason had been having health issues. We took him to a natural doctor and she pointed us in the direction of cleaning up our diets.

This started a slow overhaul of not only our pantry, but our life as well. We were eating gluten free, cutting out processed foods, and just making more healthful choices.  Water, vegetables, and fruits became a bigger part of our diets. We started to see improvements in Mason’s health a few short months into our journey. Unexpectedly, we started noticing positive changes in everyone’s health. This gave us fuel to keep seeking new avenues of health and wellness.

In 2020 We started noticing big changes going on in the world. These changes profoundly impacted our family, bringing us closer together. We wanted our energies (work) to serve people in ways that would make a positive impact in their everyday lives and do it as a family.  That year we also decided to homeschool our youngest 2 boys.

Going into 2022, after much soul searching, we started to envision the life we wanted to build. We weren’t quite sure where that was going to lead.  Ideas were thrown around for months. Finally, mid 2022 an idea stuck. We decided to go with Kombucha. Liked by the whole family, it had proven to be a healthy alternative to sodas and other unhealthy beverages.

And thus began our home brewing journey. Many batches of kombucha were brewed. Some were bad, some were great! It was an adventure, and everyone was involved. Then came time to plan how to scale up and where to go from there.

In the process of looking at our current venue we were asked if we happened to also do coffee. Well, as part of our journey to eat and drink better back in 2021, we had started another passion of making lattes at home with only maple syrup as a sweetener to take the place of Starbucks drinks. So of course, we said, yes! Unsure of exactly how to get started with coffee, we started seeking coffee roasters, vendors, etc. After the first roaster fell through, a moment of fate led us to Foxen Coffee. After one conversation with the owner and one taste of his coffee, we knew Foxen was going to be our bean of choice! The passion he shared for coffee and the quality of products his company put out was exactly what we were looking for.

Both leaving our careers in the corporate world, Russ first in 2022 and Shelley in March of 2023, we finally made it to the point where we could fully commit to investing in our family and community. We opened LoveCraft Farms in a cargo container (retro fitted to a commercial kitchen) at Metro Eats in April 2023. Since opening, a community has steadily been forming around us. One thing for sure, we have met some amazing people along the way. We are excited to see where LoveCraft takes us.

We are happy you are a part of it, come by and visit as our story unfolds!

From our hearts to yours,

Russ +  Shelley
